Wedding dress code is an article that I thought, especially for my couples of future foreign spouses.

Couples who choose our country to get married, love our history, the climate, the food and want advice on Italian fashion and style for their big day!

Unfortunately the Wedding dress code is not always followed by Italians, trends or tastes are far from him.

The look of the bride and groom must also be imagined together with their families and witnesses; sometimes I am asked to indicate a dress code, a theme in the invitations; here things get complicated

Less is more

There will always be a guest who will dress in white to show off her tan, or I don’t know if it’s worse, another dressed in red…

No flashy colors, black in the evening, as I explained before, has been “accepted” but only for guests.

Here too I feel like advising to let it slide, let’s think about the small group I mentioned before!

Groom style

Let’s start with him, who unfortunately is the one who in most cases chooses and/or is dressed really badly.

Proportions

Very important! You can immediately see if a dress “falls badly” and this is where the tailoring skill and/or the type of cut come into play.

The measurement of the shoulders, the hem of the trousers must be taken very well and it is recommended, once the model has been chosen, that the future Groom absolutely does not gain weight and if he wants to lose a little that is fine, no drastic weight loss!

There are so many permitted colours, very in vogue, I love them, pastel colours, absolutely avoid black and brown or shiny shoes.

You will have to match your style to the place chosen for the ceremony and the location of the Wedding.

Avoid shiny, damask, “glittery” colours and fabrics… A tailored dress will enhance with its beauty and wearability.

No to black and tuxedo! “Tuxedo cut” is fine, it’s another thing, if the Groom wants it, you can change your look and wear it for the party.

Accessories

In the Groom’s wedding dress code, first of all we think about removing bracelets, rings and any earrings, yes to a pocket watch or wristwatch with a leather strap.

Bride style

The model of the dress also here in addition to taking into consideration where you have chosen to get married, you must consider your physicality, age and phototype.

No to excessive necklines or slits, maybe if you really want a “combo” solution a dress with covers or “strategic” pieces for the ceremony, especially if celebrated in church, to then remove them and give more freedom of movement for the reception and the party.

Closed-toe shoes are always the most elegant.

Armocromia
